- Summary:
- Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for all production activities, including manufacturing, packaging, and quality control, to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical products.
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times.
- Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, company policies, and quality standards throughout all production processes.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
- Implement and maintain robust systems for production performance monitoring, reporting, and analysis, identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to address production-related issues and drive process improvements.
- Manage departmental budgets and capital expenditures, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating inspections and audits.
- Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints related to production operations, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
- Drive initiatives to enhance safety, health, and environmental performance within the production facility, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a senior management role overseeing production operations.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations and requirements, with a proven track record of successful GMP compliance and regulatory inspections.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve performance targets and objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and production management software systems.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
- Certification in GMP or Production Management would be advantageous.
