    Plant Director (Head of Production)
     
    • Summary:
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual as the Plant Director (Head of Production) for our client in the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The Plant Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and leading a team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful plant management in a GMP-regulated environment and possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
     
    • Responsibilities:
    1. Provide strategic direction and leadership for all production activities, including manufacturing, packaging, and quality control, to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical products.
    2. Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization and minimizing lead times.
    3. Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, company policies, and quality standards throughout all production processes.
    4. Oversee the recruitment, training, and development of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and accountability.
    5. Implement and maintain robust systems for production performance monitoring, reporting, and analysis, identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains.
    6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to address production-related issues and drive process improvements.
    7. Manage departmental budgets and capital expenditures, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
    8. Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitating inspections and audits.
    9. Lead investigations into deviations, non-conformances, and customer complaints related to production operations, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
    10. Drive initiatives to enhance safety, health, and environmental performance within the production facility, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
    • Qualifications:
    1. Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
    2. Minimum of 10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a senior management role overseeing production operations.
    3. Strong understanding of GMP regulations and requirements, with a proven track record of successful GMP compliance and regulatory inspections.
    4. Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve performance targets and objectives.
    5. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
    8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and production management software systems.
    9. Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
    10. Certification in GMP or Production Management would be advantageous.
